Out of my life, out of my mind
Out of the tears, we can’t deny
We need to swallow all our pride
And leave this mess behind
Out of my head, out of my bed
Out of the dreams we had, they’re bad
Tell them it’s me who made you sad
Tell them the fairytale gone bad

really, I’m totally innocent.

The last time someone said that to me I was forced to walk to plank of my own ship.
Ah, touche. We don’t have any ships, or planks, so you should be safe there.
If I am correct (which I always am, who am I kidding?) this place is called Steamboat. I’m not taking any chances.
I see. Well, suit yourself.

Maycen had been in the hospital wing for almost three days and they still wouldn’t let him out. He was getting bored and his stitched itched like hell. That on top of the fact that they had him one 24-hour suicide watch and wouldn’t even let him take a piss without breathing down his neck was making him go insane. The doctors weren’t terrible here, though, and they most certainly didn’t treat him like a child. On the other hand, the nurses babied him and made him want to scream. He was a god for Zeus’ sake, he didn’t need some mortals holding his hand while he walked to the bathroom!
A doctor walked over to his bed and began running some quick tests, making sure that he was still alive- which obviously he was. Maycen tried to crack jokes with the man, but it seemed as if he was made of stone. The god rolled his eyes and began to close them when a familiar voice caught his attention. “What’s the patients diagnosis, doctor?” She said as his ears perked up. The doctor replied using large words that Maycen didn’t really care to understand. When the girl sitting near him said his name, shocked to see that he was the one in the bed, he gave her a lopsided grin and a slight wave. “Hey Claire. Nothing is wrong, not now anyway. I had a little accident a few days ago and I’ve been stuck here ever since.” He stuck his tongue out at the doctor as he left, a childish move, but he hoped that it would lighten the mood for Claire.
Claire stayed still for a moment before looking at the doctor as he walked away. Claire understood what the doctor had said, she just couldn’t pronounce it. She looked at the monitor again and bent down to pick up her sketchbook. She looked at Maycen and flipped to an empty page and dug out a pencil.
She set her bag down on the floor next to her and looked up at Maycen. She nodded and half smiled. She felt that something wasn’t right with what he said. She looked around the room for something to draw but got no inspiration. ‘Would you like a picture? I draw for the other patients, it helps them feel better.” She looked down and shifted her footing. “Maycen, what really happened? What sort of accident?”
Maycen shifted so he was sitting up more and winced slightly at the tug on his stitches. He hoped that Claire hadn’t seen him wince, for he didn’t want her worried too much about him. The doctors had assured him that he would be fine. The stab wounds weren’t that deep, although he did lose a lot of blood before the doctors finally stitched him up. He knew that Claire cared about him and that she would worry endlessly if she knew how he got hurt. On the other hand, he didn’t want to lie to her, because lying would just lead to more lies and then eventually she would find out the truth which would make her more angry.
“I would like that a lot. I’ve never seen a completed drawing of yours,” Maycen smiled softly. “It wasn’t anything terrible, just a few cuts on my stomach, that’s all. Hatter found me and got some doctors to stitch me up. I’m just here now until they think I’m ready to go back to my room.”

I would say something like “I sympathize” but I’m lactose intolerant, so I avoid milk at all costs. It sounds like you should avoid it too.
I probably should
